Karuna only uses ethically and organically grown fine cocoa beans from Latin America, Asia and Africa. As a sweetener, Karuna uses fair trade organic raw cane sugar from Itajá, Brasil. The organic cocoa butter Karuna uses, is pressed from Arriba Nacional cocoa from the area of Los Rios and Esmeraldas in Ecuador and Nacional from Peru. For the white chocolates, containing fruit Karuna uses de-oiled almond flour from organically grown almonds. The fruits are organically grown and freeze-dried.

The packaging: 100% ecological. It's free from plastic, chemicals, heavy metals. Karuna uses certified natural papers and the print is done via Risograph screen print using vegetable oil colors. The inner foil of the bar is compostable.
